Pole Fire grows to over 400 acres on Idaho,Oregon border

Lightning sparked the Pole Fire in the Vale Bureau of Land Management district, which has grown to 675 acres on the Idaho, Oregon border.

Firefighters face "steep and inaccessible" terrain making it a challenge accessing the fire.

The spread of the fire has been halted and crews are working towards containment.

According to the Baker County Sheriff's Office, evacuation levels in the Morgan Creek drainage are level 3 and level 1 for Hibbard Creek.

The campground portion of Spring Rec Site is currently closed to the public as firefighters are utilizing this as a base of operations.

There are 171 people responding to this incident. The fire is located 10 miles north of Huntington, Ore.
