PUBG Mobile has a fan following in millions and the game continues to dominate revenue charts even after two years of its release. The developers roll out frequent updates in the game with new content and the latest one to arrive is PUBG Mobile 1.8 update.
Collaborating with big names and adding unique things in the game is what PUBG Mobile is known for. While it has recently started taking some of the features from PUBG PC, it continues to retain its distinctiveness by some collaboration themed game modes. The recent Mirror World mode that was taken down yesterday was the result of Arcane collaboration and players are now waiting for the collaboration of Spiderman No Way Home, which apparently will be the successor of Mirror World Mode.

When can players expect the release of PUBG Mobile 1.8 update?
Tencent had released PUBG Mobile 1.7 update on 19th November,2021 and as it is known to release new updates after every two months, the upcoming update could be seen in a few days with some exciting features.
According to prominent BGMI/ PUBG YouTuber, it has been revealed that PUBG Mobile 1.8 update will be released on 12th January,2022. The update will start rolling out on the Android and Ios devices at 7:30 AM IST. However, it is also important to note that Tencent has not released the patch notes of the new update yet, where it usually releases them before the arrival of the latest version.

Spiderman themed game mode
PUBG Mobile had announced a collaboration with recently released sci-fi movie, Spiderman No Way Home. This collaboration will bring a Spiderman themed game mode where players will be able to the swinging feature of the popular fictional character, Spiderman. Players can fight with robots and acquire the powers of Spiderman if they land on Mylta power.
Revive in water
One of the best features in PUBG Mobile 1.8 update is the new game play mechanic where players who are knocked out in water can be revived while they swim in water. Players who were knocked out in water earlier died instantly but the new feature will certainly help the players.
New TDM map- Santorini
A brand new TDM (Team Deathmatch) map named Santorini will arrive in the game once the 1.8 update is rolled out. A total of sixteen players (8 vs 8) will be able to play in this new TDM map. The map is designed in the way buildings and streets in Rome are designed.
Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration
The long-awaited crossover of the popular anime-manga series Jujutsu Kaisen will be seen in PUBG Mobile 1.8 update. Players will be able to see the 4 main characters- Itadori Yuji, Fushiguro Megumi, Gojo Satoru and Kugisaki Nobara of the anime series in a special game mode.
Aftermath mode
Another game mode that players will be able to enjoy will be the Aftermath mode that can be played in the Livik map only. Players can view the animations regarding volcanic eruptions once they enter the Aftermath mode. This mode will introduce new firearm mechanics.
