High Priority in Task Manager
The Finals is a shockingly CPU intensive game. Trying to set your game’s CPU priority to high in the task manager will give you an error because of Easy Anti-Cheat, and this is how you circumvent that. When following the steps don’t include the quotation marks (” “). Be careful when messing with the Registry Editor and only do what’s in the steps, because you can mess up your computer if you don’t know what youre doing
- Use your PC’s search bar and search for ‘regedit’ to open the registry editor
- Drop down ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE’ – ‘SOFTWARE’ – ‘Microsoft’ – ‘Windows NT’ – ‘CurrentVersion’ – ‘Image File Execution Options’
- From there right click on ‘Image File Execution Options’ and create a new key called “Discovery.exe”
- Right click on the new Discovery folder and create another key called “PerfOptions”
- Right click on the new PerfOptions folder and create a new DWORD (32 bit) called ‘”CpuPriorityClass”
- Double click on CpuPriorityClass in the value window and change the value from 0 to 3, keep the hexadecimal option checked.
And that’s it. Finals should be running at high priority in task manager now.
